Located just south of Atlanta in Locust Grove is perhaps one of the coolest “farms” you might ever visit. Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is home to over 1500 animals ranging from farm animals and pets to exotic animals like tigers and bears. Noah’s Ark operates as an Educational Sanctuary for exotic animals as well as farm animals. They also rehab 100’s of animals yearly through our Wildlife Rehabilitation Program.
There are two aspects to choose when visiting Noah’s Ark, the first is their visitor and information center. Its open Tuesday’s thru Sunday’s 9 to 4pm. Visitors can learn about the animals on the property and the work they do at Noah’s Ark. The other is the Self-Guided tour through the animal habitat, that’s open from noon until 3 on the same days (weather permitting).
The animal habitat is a fairly nice walk through the property visitors get to see the various animals in an outdoor setting. The coolest thing is seeing the Bear, Lion and Tiger living together.
Visits to the Ark are free, however they do ask for donations to help cover operating costs.
